Help Needed

Shady Acres apartments were started by parents and family members who were concerned about the future of their mentally challenged relatives. The goal is to provide a safe, pleasant environment for them to live independently without additional financial assistance from the State or Federal governments. Most of this goal is being achieved. However, since 1994 the cost of salaries, insurances and maintenance has increased many fold. A FUND was established in 2006 in order to make Shady Acres financially self-dependent. This GOAL is possible with your help. The SAIL is a non-profit 501-c3 Corporation and any donations are tax deductible.

If you are over 70½ years old, you may have to take Require Minimum Distributions (RMDs) from your IRA accounts each year. If you do not need the distribution, please consider having your RMD donated to Shady Acres, or please consider making Shady Acres a partial beneficiary of your estate or your life insurance policy, brokerage accounts or retirement accounts. Consult your tax advisor, CPA, attorney or financial advisor to help with any bequest. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
